Brandable Domain Names

sucker-domainsI don’t know about you, but I spend a lot of time looking at different forums and advertising websites that sell domain names. I’m looking for bargains and ideas mostly, but I’m also looking at what is selling, and what is not.

What I find interesting these days is that a lot of domainers are really pimping how brandable their domain name is. Many times, it’s simply because a domain is phonetic. In other words, it doesn’t actually have to be a word, it just has to be pronounceable. (more…)

Branding the ccTLD’s

brandingAs domain name investors, we are always looking for new domain name opportunities. So whenever a new ccTLD is made available to the public, many of us start to drool.

Because it seems too good to be true. I mean, you can actually get one word and two word domain names, right? Making it sound like heaven to us. But is investing in ccTLD’s all that great? Or is it just really well done hype by the companies behind them? I’m going to jump right out there and say it’s a little bit of both. (more…)

Can I get away with registering this domain?

Let’s be honest here, okay? Because ethics aren’t really a hard thing to understand, or is it difficult to do business ethically. We all have that still, small voice inside us that tells us what is right, and what is wrong. In this case, we also have laws that tell us exactly what is allowed and what isn’t. (more…)
