Yup, it’s one of the million dollar questions domain name investors ask frequently.
Can I get away with registering this domain?
Let’s be honest here, okay? Because ethics aren’t really a hard thing to understand, or is it difficult to do business ethically. Let’s face it. As domain investors, it’s all about the money. So of course you want to consider income generation outside of just buying and selling when it comes to your portfolio. For many, this is where domain parking comes into play.
For the newbies, domain parking is a system where you point your domain names to a company that in turn puts up a landing page for anyone visiting that domain. That landing page contains advertisements in the form of relevant text links. When the user clicks an advertisement, you and the parking website company get paid. If you are familiar with Google Adsense, it’s a very similar setup. However, with domain parking you don’t have to worry about building a website yourself. The parking company does that automatically for you. All you really have to do is change your domain’s nameservers to point to the parking system. Read the rest of this entry »

To some, this is going to sound like exactly the same thing. After all, isn’t an appraisal supposed to tell you what something is worth?
When I was a kid I loved to collect baseball cards. I literally had boxes and boxes of baseball treasure beneath my bed. I’m not sure if they are still the authority, but back then there was a price guide called Beckett’s, and my friends and I used the Beckett guide religiously to determine what are cards were worth. Sometimes they weren’t even worth a penny, but other times the mighty Beckett would give a card some serious power. Sometimes claiming that it was worth hundreds of dollars.

Everywhere you turn these days, the hot button seems to be centering around “flipping.” From houses to websites, businesses to blogs, flipping is the hot trend right now. Domains are included in this, and domain flipping is hotter than ever.
