Stick With .COM, .NET. and .ORG TLD's To Make Domain Name Investing Easier
Whenever someone is interested in building up affiliate websites or flipping domain names, I always giving the same advice. Find your niche topic and stick with the big three TLD’s. The best order to stick with when purchasing domain names is .COM, .NET, and .ORG. If you can get the .COM for a keyword or phrase that you think is valuable, then go for it. However, a .NET or .ORG is also a great way to jump into the domain name market. In most cases, the latter two can competitively rank well against a similar .COM, in some cases it can beat it out as well.
The great thing about purchasing a “Big Three TLD” domain name that revolves around a keyword or phrase is that you can rank pretty high in the search engines with little effort. All it takes is some SEO elbow-grease on your part. In other words, taking the time to write content, place it on the website, and social bookmark it across the web. For most people, the whole process can be once a day with about one hour of total time invested. Everyone knows that filling a website up with content significantly boosts search engine rankings. Having a .COM, .NET, or .ORG extension will make it much simpler to climb upwards.
Research your niche topic well, find keywords that lend themselves to registering a “Big Three TLD”. It is worth the effort and it will save you money in the long run. Rather than working for months to get less desirable TLD’s noticed by search engines, your websites will be indexed, on the front page, and ready to be flipped for a handsome profit.
